You like being on the road? We do too. It's some of the best freedom out there! We know how it is, and understand what works and what doesn't from a driver's perspective.
Here's a basic rundown so there are no surprises: You'll be picking up and delivering to and from homes, businesses, warehouses, distribution centers and airports. We try to find out as many details ahead of time but most situations have the same standard operating procedures.
City Deliveries: Often require going to a shipping/receiving or mail room area. If it's street access, often you can just put on hazards and run it to the door. Buildings with docks and bays, you might be able to pull in. Other times, you can just meet the recipient to sign and hand off the item right on the street. Home Deliveries: Directly deliver to the front door or other designated area. Situations where no one is there to sign, leave the item in a secure and protected location like a porch and take a picture. Office Buildings: Some require you to go to a shipping/receiving area. With smaller buildings, you'll go directly to the office itself to deliver the items. Cargo Facilities/Warehouse/Major Airports: Often require you to sign in and wait to load/unload. Loading is usually done at a ramp or by pulling up to your assigned bay. We automatically build in loading time, but if there's extra time, you will be compensated. Expedited Air: Things are much more casual at small airports. For multiple boxes, heavy items you can often drive right up to the small aircraft once you get buzzed in to the facility. Smaller items, we will arrange someone to meet you. Construction/Job Sites: Load/unload is usually done as close to the job site as possible. We'll have a contact person meet you to help load/unload.
